Absolutely. Many of our clients came to us with little or no Pilates experience. Your first session starts with a movement assessment so we understand your body, your history, and your goals. We meet you exactly where you are.

A private session is just you and your instructor — 100% of the attention is on your body, your form, and your goals. A duet brings one additional person (you choose who!) into the session. Both are personalized; privates are simply more intensive in terms of individual focus.

We are a comprehensive classical studio, so you will have access to practicing the entirety of the Pilates system on the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, and other accessories such as the magic circle, hand weights, foam rollers, resistance bands and the pilates ball.

Wear comfortable, form-fitting workout clothes. Please avoid wearing clothing that may leave dye on the equipment, such as new, unwashed and pigmented workout clothes. Grippy socks are not required but we have some in the studio should you prefer to wear them!

We’re in Dupont Circle, Washington, D.C. in the Chelsea Gardens Building. There is street parking available, which usually requires payment via ParkMobile depending on the time of your appointment. The full address and parking/transit details will be in your booking confirmation email.

Yes, there is a shared bathroom with a shower on the second floor. Given that it is a shared shower, we do not provide bath towels or shower products, so please bring your own!

We require 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations within that window forfeit the session credit - no exceptions, no transfers. No-shows forfeit their credit in full. We hold this boundary so we can hold your spot.

Memberships require a 2-month minimum commitment and are billed monthly. After that minimum period you can cancel with 30 days written notice through this form. Memberships cannot be paused — if you need a break, cancel and rejoin when you’re ready. We’ll be here! Sessions do not roll over month to month, so we’ll stay in touch to make sure you’e using every one.

Yes. Classical Pilates is exceptionally well-suited for injury recovery and post-natal rehabilitation. Let us know about any conditions or history in the intake form and we’ll tailor your programming accordingly. We’re not a physical therapy practice, but we work well alongside it.
